Automotores Gildemeister  was founded in 1986 and operations started that same year as the official distributor of Hyundai Motor Company in Chile.

In 1991 the executive control was taken by Ricardo Lessmann and the business rapidly started to grow. Within a few years Hyundai was already Nr. 2 in the market.

In 1996 Maquinarias Gildemeister widened the business into the import, distribution and after-sales of construction, agriculture and industrial equipment......
